For my December Afghan, I am finally using my favorite colorway of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn.
I had so much fun making this afghan! This design was inspired by the “Trip Around the World” quilt pattern.
I am using Bernat Super Value yarn to crochet my Granny Square creation!
This month, I am trying a yarn I have never used before. Bernat Super Value is a worsted weight acrylic, similar in quality to Red Heart Super Saver, but a bit softer. I can’t wait to get started on this afghan so I can see what this yarn is like.
This afghan can be made quickly and easily on any Addi Knitting Machine. A great project for beginning Addi users, this afghan does not require any previous knitting experience.
I made this polka dot afghan in chocolate brown and light purple, but it would look great in other colors as well.
Can you guess what I am going to do with these squares?
For August, I am going to crochet an adorable baby blanket in soft purple and chocolate brown.
Yay for FREE Yarn! This afghan is made entirely from scrap yarn.
I am using up a huge portion of my scrap collection in one project. This will create some extra space in my yarn storage area so I can buy more yarn! 😛 Ha ha. Or I could use that space for the yarn I already have that was overflowing the storage area. 🙂
