I received my KnitCrate for October! This yarn is just what I was hoping for!
KnitCrate is a monthly yarn subscription service, delivering high-quality, hand-dyed yarn to your doorstep. They offer several different crates, with different types of yarn and projects. The crate shown in the video above is the KnitCrate Membership, which includes 2 skeins of premium yarn in the featured colorway, and 2 exclusive patterns (1 knitting pattern, 1 crochet pattern). All KnitCrates ship worldwide with free shipping and handling. Members also receive reward points and discounts towards future purchases.

Each month’s crate has a theme, and this month’s theme is “Verdigris”. In the KnitCrate Membership for October, the crate includes 2 skeins of one of four different colorways: “Olive”, “Ash”, “Blush”, or “Mouse”, which I received.
The yarn is Audine Wools “Halo DK”, a DK weight blend of Alpaca, Merino Wool, and Nylon, hand-dyed in the beautiful tonal colorways featured. The colorway I received is a lovely, soft, light grey, with lighter and darker tonal variations. I have been wanting to get some grey tonal yarn for awhile, and this color is just what I have been looking for! I love the texture and depth this yarn has from the tonal dyeing and double-twist strand.
This month, the crate included a small magazine-style pattern booklet, including ALL of the patterns from every crate available! So this month, I got 6 patterns instead of 2. The booklet also includes information on the care of non-superwash yarns, as well as bios of the designers and yarn dyers from all of October’s crates. I love all of the beautiful photos and patterns in the booklet. I also love that you can also download the book digitally on Ravelry, as my package evidently got wet in the rain and one corner of my book was quite soggy. 🙂 Luckily, the yarn was not wet.
UPDATE: I decided to design my own pattern from this yarn! Get the FREE Pattern for the Boundless Cowl by clicking here!
Thanks to KnitCrate for sending me this crate to review!
