I’m so thrilled with the yarn I received in this month’s KnitCrate Subscription! This soft, hand dyed wool is squishy & luxurious.
KnitCrate is a monthly yarn subscription service, delivering high-quality, hand-dyed yarn to your doorstep. They offer several different crates, with different types of yarn and projects. The crate shown in the video above is the KnitCrate Membership, which includes 2 skeins of premium yarn in the featured colorway, and at least 2 exclusive patterns (at least 1 knitting pattern, at least 1 crochet pattern). All KnitCrates ship worldwide with free shipping and handling. Members also receive reward points and discounts towards future purchases.

Each month’s crate has a theme, and this month’s theme is “Sleepy New Year”, featuring calm, quiet colors. In the KnitCrate Membership for January, the crate includes 2 skeins of one of two different colorways: a soft, reddish-pink, or the warm, nutty brown that I received.
The yarn is Vidalana “Ambient Worsted”, a pure Peruvian Highland Wool yarn, hand-dyed in the beautiful tonal colorways featured. The colorway I received is a rich, warm brown, with hints of soft, peachy beige. It feels so smooth and squishy, with a beautiful, defined texture.
This month, the crate included a small pattern booklet, including the patterns from the Membership crate and Sock Membership Crate. This booklet contains 1 crochet pattern (Embrace Muff by Tonya Bush), 1 knitting pattern (Shift Cowl by Jen Geigley), and a sock knitting pattern (Winter Light Socks by Laura Fahlin Staker). I love all of the beautiful photos, patterns, and information in the booklet, including the designer bios and extra info on wool from different sheep breeds.
I can’t wait to make something from this beautiful yarn!
Thanks so much to KnitCrate for sending me this crate to review!
