I’ve finished the Beach Ball Cowl from the July 2018 KnitCrate! This project was so much fun to knit, and I am thrilled with how it turned out.

KnitCrate is a monthly yarn subscription service, delivering high-quality, hand-dyed yarn to your doorstep. They offer several different crates, with different types of yarn and projects. The crate shown in the video above is the KnitCrate Membership, which includes 2 skeins of premium yarn in the featured colorway, and 2 exclusive patterns (1 knitting pattern, 1 crochet pattern). All KnitCrates ship worldwide with free shipping and handling. Members also receive reward points and discounts towards future purchases.

Use Coupon Code “YAYFORYARN20” for 20% off your first KnitCrate.

Each month’s crate has a theme, and July’s theme was “Modern Primary”.  All crates for July featured bright, bold, variegated colorways.  In the KnitCrate Membership for July, the crate included 2 skeins of one of four different colorways: Paws Off, School Zone, Equation, and Dashboard, which I received.  This colorway is hand dyed with a mix of navy blue, violet, seafoam green, and a lovely caramel color.  The yarn is “Knitologie” Bouncy Worsted: 100% Superwash Merino Wool, spun into a smooth fingering weight yarn, and hand-dyed in the beautiful colorways featured.  This blend is incredibly squishy, and the texture is perfect.

The crate also included 2 exclusive patterns, Yoga Socks by Laura Bain, and the Beach Ball Cowl by Virginia Sattler-Reimer.  I chose to knit the Beach Ball Cowl, and I love how it turned out!

I love how the variegated colors look in this lace stitch!

Thanks to KnitCrate for sending me this crate to review!
