Each month’s crate has a theme, and this month’s theme is “Good Vibes Only”. All yarns for this month feature bright, happy colors, which are my favorites! In the KnitCrate Membership for February, the crate includes 2 skeins of one of two different colorways: “Malachite”, or “Electric Abalone”, which I received.
The yarn is Audine Wools “Halo DK”, a DK weight blend of Alpaca, Merino Wool, and Nylon, hand-dyed in the beautiful tonal colorways featured. It’s the same ultra-squishy yarn from the October 2018 crate, in totally different colors! The colorway I received is a lovely purplish shade of periwinkle, with lighter and darker tonal variations. I always gravitate towards brighter colors, so I’m super happy with the colorway I got this month! I love the texture and depth this yarn has from the tonal dyeing and double-twist strand.
This month, the crate included a small pattern booklet, including the patterns from the Membership crate and Sock Membership Crate. This booklet contains 1 crochet pattern (Belle Askew Shawl by Jen Hayes), 1 knitting pattern (Belita Shawl by Kiri Fitzgerald), and a sock knitting pattern (Striped Lightning by Maeve Zana). I love all of the beautiful photos, patterns, and information in the booklet, including designer bios and tips for meeting your crafty goals.
I can’t wait to make something from this beautiful yarn!
Thanks so much to KnitCrate for sending me this crate to review!
