Free Pattern! We all like to choose soft and cuddly items for babies. This easy baby blanket is knit in Brioche stitch, so named because it resembles the soft, squishy texture of Brioche bread. This pattern will teach you my shortcut to working the Brioche stitch. If you can knit garter stitch and “knit 1, purl 1” ribbing, you can knit this blanket!
Yay for FREE Yarn! This afghan is made entirely from scrap yarn.
I am using up a huge portion of my scrap collection in one project. This will create some extra space in my yarn storage area so I can buy more yarn! 😛 Ha ha. Or I could use that space for the yarn I already have that was overflowing the storage area. 🙂
I am making the July afghan entirely from scraps. Yay for Stashbusting!
My Afghan for June is finished! I love the look and feel of this squishy stitch pattern.
Check out the yarn I am using for my June Afghan! This yarn will become a warm, squishy baby blanket.
I am so excited to show you my May Afghan! This design was inspired by windmill quilt blocks. I made the entire afghan on my Addi Express Professional Knitting Machine.
Free pattern! The Rainbow Ridge Afghan features the popular chevron stripe pattern with a textured twist. I chose to use 6 bright colors for my afghan, but this design would also be lovely as a baby blanket or in a neutral color palette.
I have made most of the strips for my May Afghan! Now I must make the rest of the strips, assemble them, and work an edging to finish the afghan.
I love yarn shopping. But of course, I don’t know of any knitter or crocheter who doesn’t! One of my favorite stores to shop for yarn is Hobby Lobby. I am always drawn to all of the unique colors and prints available in Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn, so I chose to use it (again) in an afghan. Watch the video below to see my color choices…
