May 2018 KnitCrate Unboxing and Review

Full Review and Unboxing of the May 2018 KnitCrate! I loved this month’s yarn and patterns, and I can’t wait to see next month’s crate!

KnitCrate is a monthly yarn subscription service, delivering high-quality, hand-dyed yarn to your doorstep. They offer several different crates, with different types of yarn and projects. The crate shown in the video above is the KnitCrate Membership, which includes 2 skeins of premium yarn in the featured colorway, and 2 exclusive patterns (1 knitting pattern, 1 crochet pattern). All KnitCrates ship worldwide with free shipping and handling. Members also receive reward points and discounts towards future purchases.

Each crate has a theme, and this month’s theme was “Contemporary”.  The yarn included was “La Brebis Marled Sock” in Gray Twist.  This is super-soft, with a blend of Peruvian Highland wool, Merino, and Nylon.  I love that there is no fuzz on the surface of the yarn, so it won’t pill when washed.

I chose to make the included crochet pattern, the Cabled Clutch by Marie Segares.  The marled twist in the yarn gives the finished project a heathered look.   Thanks to KnitCrate for sending me this crate to review!  I really enjoyed working with this yarn and crocheting the Cabled Clutch.

Happy Yarning! 🙂
