Amigurumi Potted Plant – Scrap Yarn Project

7 Aug

Amigurimi Potted Plant scrap yarn project crochet Don’t know what to do with your scrap yarn?  If you’ve been crocheting for very long, you probably have a growing collection of yarn scraps.  Some of these small amounts of leftover yarn are just not long enough to make anything from.  But, many scraps are several yards long or more and can definitely be used to make things.  Small projects like this one are perfect for using them up!

I found this free pattern on Ravelry.  It is called the “Amigurumi Potted Plant” by Lion Brand Yarns.  This project requires small amounts of #4 worsted weight yarn.  I used Red Heart Super Saver in Warm Brown and Spring Green for the flowerpot and the dome to which you attach the flowers.  My flowers were made from small amounts of worsted weight scrap yarn.  I even used some of my smallest scraps to stuff my flowerpot.  This photo shows my version of this cute project.

  1. Do you happen to still have this pattern? The ravelry download doesn’t work (or at least for me.) Yours is adorable!

    • Hi,

Thank you for your comment! This pattern is from the Lion Brand Yarns website, so Ravelry does not have it as a PDF Pattern available for download. Instead, you can get the pattern by going to the “Amigurumi Potted Plant” pattern page on Ravelry and clicking on the “This pattern is available for free” link. This takes you to the Lion Brand website, where free registration is required to access the free patterns. You can then login or create an account on the Lion Brand site and you will be redirected to the free pattern.

      Hope this helps!
